So you guys, I am in love with Gena Showalter’s original heartbreakers series. This is the final book (for now, hopefully) in the series and it couldn’t have been more perfect!!
Lyndie Scott is the girl-next-door type who has suffered from terrible abuse during childhood and her first marriage.
Brock Hudson is the playboy who tries to drown out his time in the army with a different woman every night. Only he can’t get Lyndie out of his mind.
This is a must read novel. If you haven’t read the series I do suggest reading all of them but it can be read as a stand-alone novel. It deals with the hard issues of PTSD and reclaiming life after abuse. It also has just enough spicy romance to keep the reader interested. If you need a HEA but still want something real, this is the book for you.
And on a side note, this cover is gorgeous!!! Maybe it’s because I love purple but I absolutely adore this cover. It’s my favorite out of the series.
