Sawyer’s Rose by Kim Turner

Original Publication: March 18, 2016

Audiobook Publication: November 13, 2017

I read this novel in November 2016 when I got the pleasure to meet Kim Turner at an authors lunch. And I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I loved it. I generally don’t read western romance novels but this one was so good. And considering it was a debut novel that says a lot.

Sawyer is the sheriff of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Being a sheriff in the old west is not for the faint of heart. When Rose shows up as a mail order bride from New York his life is turned upside down.

The novel is fantastic and is very refreshing for those who don’t normally read western novels. The narration however took a bit to get used to. The narrator is very talented but he has a gruff voice that is perfect for a western novel. Of course it took awhile to get used to his voice as a woman’s but once I got over that hang up it was very good. I hope you all go out and listen to this novel.

**I received a copy of this audiobook from the author for an honest review.

Happy listening,

Angie
