I have been waiting for this book since I was told it was going to be released in July. Then (of course) life got in the way and I just now got to reading it. Now this is one of those times where I’ve moved away from the romance novels. Because I read other things too. Well and everything Sherri puts out I love.
This is a futuristic novel that takes place when humanity is barely hanging on. The planet was invaded a hundred years ago by the Materian species and they have been trying to get rid of the humans ever since. Well now humanity is fighting back and Josiah Crow is leading them into the war that could save or end the rest of humanity.
For a novella it was much too short, even though I knew that was coming. I wanted the book to keep going. Especially when you see how it ends! It keeps you on the hook for more!! Sherri hasn’t released the release date for Omega Rising yet but she has another hit series on her hands. And there is a short story in the back of the book that really gives you some insight into her life. A demon hunting Southern Baptist Preacher? It’s like it was an ode to her grandfather and her family.
I hope you all give this book a whirl. For 100 pages or so you really can’t go wrong.
