This book was just so good. I definitely didn’t want to put it down and even though it took me a bit to finish I was just tired and busy. I didn’t want it to end. I wasn’t entirely sure about this novel at first because the first novel took me a bit to get in to but this one I was with it almost from page one. After the first chapter I was definitely on board with this book and all about it. This was a second chance romance but also a classic cowboy romance that you just couldn’t go wrong with.
Hannah Monroe Everett has given her husband enough time to find her. But there are rumors that the last bull he rode didn’t just damage his body but also his mind. So she needed to see it for herself. She is there to find out once and for all if Ty remembers her and their son or not. But when she gets there and Ty is looking at her like a stranger she doesn’t know what to do. This could be a second chance at the family and life she wants with him or it could all blow up in her face. Only time will tell but time is what she doesn’t have. She has a baby waiting for her to return to Georgia so this playing house with Ty will need to solidify things fast or she will need do what she came there to do.
Ty Everett took a beating from a bull and hasn’t been the same since. First, he became an alcoholic like his father but instead of mean just a happy drunk. Then, to continue the father trend he now ranches the land that generations have given their lives to. And finally, he doesn’t remember about two years of his life and he doesn’t feel anything when he thinks of memories that should have had an impact on him. So when a beautiful blonde shows up in the yard making nice with his horses and he feels something he knows that she is more important to him than he could have ever thought. But when his lack of memory starts to put a strain on their playing house he doesn’t know how to make it right.
This book definitely ensnared me. Though the wonderful scenes that make romance novels were lacking (there’s only one) but the storyline was strong and kept me reading to see how the couple came out the other side. I did get an ARC of this novel from NetGalley and I’m so glad because I would have never discovered this series without being contacted by the publisher through NetGalley. This book is your next cowboy romance and you’ll love it!
