Pucked by Helena Hunting

This book has been on my to-read list forever and I got it for Christmas this past year and I finally got to read it. I also absolutely loved it. This book was hilarious and honestly only took me like a day or two to read because I just couldn’t put it down. The two characters were absolutely crazy and the stuff that the author had them say was pure gold in all aspects.

Violet does not do hockey players. Ever. But since her step brother is a hockey player she is forced to go to one of his first away games since moving back to Chicago. She wants nothing to do with the game but when she has an eye contact moment with one of the players she ends up wanting to know more about him. It should be mentioned though that she is an awkward person and has absolutely no filter. So when she meets this player later on in that night and actually flashes her neon pink leopard bra she is not surprised by her embarrassment. What is surprising is that the hot hockey player still wants to talk to her and to spite her step-brother she gives him her number. Well, one thing leads to another and they have crazy sex that she is not prepared for. She isn’t the hookup type but one night won’t hurt. That is until Alex starts to go pseudo stockery and she is actually attracted to that.

Alex Waters is the captain of his team and he knows that he shouldn’t go after a team member’s sister but Violet just draws him in like a moth to a flame. She is just as awkward and inappropriate as he is and he has come to realize that he is a boob man. Violet certainly has something to do with that. But she also isn’t a bunny and he doesn’t want to do anything to hurt her. Social media can be brutal and the bunny-sphere is out for blood at all times. When he finally gets her to go out with him she insists on keeping it away from her step-brother Buck. He is new on the team and still hasn’t gelled with everyone so the captain banging his sister probably won’t go over well. However if history has a say Alex is positive he’ll fuck it up himself either way.

I was in tears at points I was laughing so hard. Violet is honestly crazy and usually there is only one weirdo in the relationship but Alex is just as weird. That’s what made this book great for me. It was their back and forth and the ridiculous things that came out of their mouths that made me never want this book to end. But it also made me want to continue with the series and what a great series it is! If you need a laugh and to read about some smoking hot sex then this is the book to read. Can’t wait to let y’all know about book #2!
