I’m slightly ashamed that it took me this long to read this short story. Because it really was just a super short novella that wrapped up the Knight Brothers series really well. It took me about an hour to read it (I’m not the fastest reader out there) but I still finished it in one sitting.
Harper has been in love with Matt her entire life. But for reasons unknown to her, he has never been interested in her that way. She’s pretty sure it’s because she isn’t a thin willowy blonde like her best friend (who is happily married). So when her car breaks down on her way to Denver for classes that will help her with her coffee shop she calls Matt. Little does she expect him to actually drive her to Denver and then stay with her. How will she survive in a room with him and not touch him?
Matt wants Harper. Plain and simple as that. Only her older brother Noah made him promise to stay away from her back when he was little more than a young man. Now he knows that he can be everything Harper needs only he has spent so much time avoiding her that he doesn’t think she will even give him the time of day. So when her car sounds weird he knows something will happen on her way to Denver. When she calls him he makes the decision to take her to her classes and to make her his. He is the man that she needs and he will convince her of that.
You shouldn’t miss this book. It wrapped up the Knight Brothers and gave us a nice little story that was hot as all get out. I don’t really have much more to say about this novella because it was like 40 pages long. So go read it and enjoy!
