Blood Curse by Quincy J. Allen

Published: February 22, 2018

I finally got to this novel. It is the second book in the Blood Chronicles series and it was fantastic. The book started directly where the last one left off and it didn’t miss a beat in the action. I’ve been meaning to write a blog post on this book for months but I never really could get the words out about it. Because I was feeling like I was just summarizing the book rather than giving you all my true reaction to it which isn’t really what y’all want. But this second book in the series was everything you want it to be and so much more.

Y’all won’t know what to expect from Lady Corina Danesti who is kind of an enigma and a total badass. She develops a relationship with Jake and though you kind of saw it coming the extent to which she will go to protect him is kind of surprising. What I also liked about this book was not just the amount of steampunk and western but the amount of magic and “other worldliness” that came into play. And of course, there was a ton of action. The last book started out slow and took awhile for me to get in to but this one kept my interest from beginning to end. I’m really looking forward to reading the next one, which I have I just need to get to it.

If you want to learn more about this book, because I know that this post is rather short, I’m totally up for talking with anyone about it. Since I read mostly romances you know that this book has to be exceptionally good for me to move away from my typical genre. Also the books are on Kindle Unlimited so there really is no excuse to not read it!
