This book was so good and definitely kept the momentum of the series going. Especially since Legend is the playboy of the team now that Erik has settled down. Legend also has a feud going on with his eccentric neighbor because he thinks that her house is an eye sore. Only he goes to her when the unthinkable happens and he finds a baby on his front porch. He doesn’t know what else to do and he is convinced that she will help him. Pepper does help him when he comes panicked to her house and says that there is a baby on his porch. But she doesn’t know what she can do to help since he doesn’t like her.
I thought that this book was a great enemies to lovers story and a surprise father story. Pepper and Legend never said that they hated each other but Legend does admit that Pepper got on his nerves. Though once he discovers that he has a child the style of his neighbor seems to be small potatoes. I love that their relationship was formed because Legend needed help and Pepper got to be a part of this new adventure in his life. And the ending of this book will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat. It was probably the most dramatic ending to any of the books so far (and after since I’ve already read those). I’m really enjoying that each book is dealing with a different romance trope and that they are all still in the same overall hockey romance. Can’t wait to tell you all about the next ones!
