Continuing with my review of the Seaside Pictures series I now give you the second book which is about Zane. Now Zane is a special dude because he inexplicably has to have marshmallows around him at all times and will even keep them in his pocket. This is explained later on in the book but for all the quirks for a rockstar to have this isn’t one you’re expecting. Though the fact that his character also walks around with out clothes on was also a bit unexpected but more humorous than anything. In the previous novel Zane was the lighthearted friend and the comic relief. And while he still has that side in this one he is much more serious. Well, he gets more serious as the book continues on. But he does stay pretty hilarious throughout the book. Until you find out why he is the way he is. Then you just wanna wrap him in a hug.
I thought that Fallon was a great character as well. Though she dealt with the hard part of being friends with someone famous such as being threatened that their life would be ruined if anything was leaked to the press. But she handled it like a champ. And though she didn’t quite know what to do with Zane she didn’t take no shit from him. Even when the worse happened and he forgot her. But that was a twist that you won’t really see coming so be forewarned. Honestly, I think this one was one of my favorites in the series. I loved Zane and his crazy antics. You never knew what was going to come out of his mouth next. The end of the book also set up nicely for the next one which will be a doozy second chance romance.
—-“If you stare at something long enough, you’ll get ideas you need to claim it, and the only way to stake the claim on some things, is a simple lick, so unless you’re going to follow through…” I sighed. “You should probably go wait on the couch, after all. Ladies should never tease, Fallon. And I am, above all else, a gentleman.” -Zane to Fallon—-
