Hot and Bothered by Erika Wilde

Published: July 28, 2020

This book started with a twist that I wasn’t expecting. Either because I didn’t pay attention to the blurb or because the blurb said nothing about it. Either way this one starts out with Natalie getting retrograde amnesia because she was running from someone from her past. Right into traffic. Now Noah being the guy that he is had to know that she was alright and said he was her fiancé. Unfortunately or fortunately she has no memory of this so he can protect her under the guise that they are in a relationship. Which is really what he wants anyway. He has tried to breach her walls for months and once he discovers why she has them he totally understands why they were so high. But he is also determined to keep those walls down once she gets her memory back and is safe. That is his entire goal.

I thought Natalie was a great character. She accepted the fact that she had lost parts of her memory and though she was frustrated she didn’t let it bring her down. She also fought like hell against her psycho ex-boyfriend and which made her realize she could fight and stand up for herself but with Noah she didn’t have to. It was a strong partnership once they each decided they were going to fight for each other. Also the real proposal was quite unique. You don’t want to miss this book. And I did receive an ARC for an honest review so I hope that this post was honest enough. Until next time!
