Oh this book was cute and so so good. It obviously takes place over the holidays at Dreagan but it is also a few months after Rhi and Con’s book, Inferno. In this one everyone left the manor in order to give them some time alone. They are still trying to decide what to do about the fact that the dragons survived and their twins are ruling them. Not only are they ruling them but they have refused entrance to their realm to Con and Rhi. What I really liked about this short novella was that it set up the important questions for the continuation of the series. They discussed what would happen if the Kings went to see their dragons and they were challenged. Also what if the dragons don’t need kings anymore because these are not the same ones that were sent away a millennium ago. But since it was the holidays they tried not to dwell on these obstacles too much. Rhi wanted to have a large party with all of the Kings and their mates as well as the Reapers and their mates. They had been through so much that they deserved a celebration.
This is one of the first books that we have seen some of the first kings and mates again. I loved getting to see their interactions again. And like I stated this book is setting up really well for the new spin off series. I am really looking forward to finding out the Kings’ interactions with these new dragons and the realm that they call home. This novella ended with a glimpse into the next book which is also a novella and I think it’s going to be so good. I’m really lookin forward to the next installments of this series. It’ll be a really fresh take on the Dragon Kings and the search for their mates as well as what the next threat will be. Don’t miss out on this cute Christmas novella with our favorite dragons.
