Christmas at the Coffee Shoppe by Erika Lynn

Tis the season for Christmas romances and this was one of the first ones that I read this season though not the first that I’ve reviews. I am woefully behind on my reviews but life happens and it is 2020. This book was novella length which made it a quick read for me. It was also just super cute! Eve is in charge of this huge Christmas event that is town wide and she needs to convince the town’s coffee shop owner, Jasper, to let his place be the center of the celebrations. Though his parents would have said “yes” in a heartbeat without them around Jasper wants nothing to do with the holidays and thus won’t be persuaded by Eve. Only there is instant attraction between both of them and he doesn’t know what to do with it considering that he is the kink in her Christmas village plans.

I really loved the whole Scrooge vibe that Jasper had going on and how Eve was not taking “no” for an answer. Also, the way they kept meeting up and the undeniable attraction between them helped the story move along quickly. Since it was a short Christmas novella I didn’t expect it to move slowly but I was hoping for more dating or at least seeing each other before the epilogue. I hope that we get more from them super cute Christmas town.
