Y’all we finally got a full length novel for one of the women! I have been lamenting that in the series that have multiple brothers and one sister that the sister only ever gets the novella where as each brother gets a full novel. It finally happened that this didn’t happen in this series. And I’m glad for it because it needed to have a full story. Beck’s background with the Kingston family needed to be explored and Chloe needed to learn how to love again after being left at the altar. Even though she didn’t love love her fiancé she was still embarrassed by the incident. Especially considering how she met Beck in her very drunken state.
The two of them were not looking for someone but they found each other in the best way possible. Beck really didn’t want to fall in love because he didn’t want to lose anyone else that he loved only he realized (almost too late) that he couldn’t live without Chloe and by not being with her he had basically lost her without death being a factor. Chloe was such a great character as well. She was strong but she still didn’t know how to be strong for herself because she didn’t want to let anyone down. I just loved the growth in this book between the two characters and how Beck eventually forgave Linc. Even though they would never be best friends again. I can’t wait to read the next books in this series!
