I didn’t want to put this book down. It was that good. I really enjoy nanny romances though I’m not sure why. I think it’s because the female protagonist not only has to fall in love with the male protagonist but also with the children. In this one Regan was so misunderstood by everyone so when she shows up, her sister and the new family she has created around her are wary of Regan and even go so far as to not trust her. Regan knows that she deserves some of the recrimination but all she wants is a chance to show her sister that she is trust worthy and though she made mistakes in the past she just wants to make up for it. She is in Scotland for a reason and she won’t leave without repairing her relationship. In order to do that she needs a job so when Thane is looking for a nanny for his two young kids she applies for the position no matter how attracted she is to him. Which, of course, leads to an intense attraction that they both try to avoid for as long as possible.
I enjoyed not only the angst and back and forth between them but also the love of the kids. The kids were absolutely adorable and hearing them with their young voices and Scottish accents in my head was adorable. I also enjoyed that there was some drama outside of their relationship. There was drama with Thane and then the climax drama with Regan. It was so well written and really added to the story to the point that I think the story would have been just average without it. I highly recommend this book and I’m really looking forward to the next one.
