This book was so sweet I really enjoyed it. Though it wasn’t necessary to the series as a whole it definitely rounded out the story line. Amber was such a great character. She was written perfectly as a single mom and and it wasn’t a stretch. The book went over the challenges of being a single parent who had a child before they knew how to be an adult and taking control of her life when she could balance work, school, and a child. Also, the meet cute in this book was so cute. I loved the way Amber and Shane met and how they kept meeting.
I thought the reasons that Shane presented for why he couldn’t be with Amber were real and meshed well with the current world and I also really liked that the timeline moved quickly so that we could see the end of the professor/student relationship and the beginning of their own relationship. I’m not sure what else to say about this book other than it was a delightful read. Honestly, it’s a novella so there isn’t much more to say. Don’t miss out on it if you haven’t already picked up a copy for yourself.
